TRAVEL FUNDRAISER

We were so blessed by the outpouring of support for our first fundraiser. Through the generosity of our friends and family, we received over $2,000 towards our adoption. Thank you all so much!! As you might know, we have received our referral for our little girl. Her name will be Tiana Jo Mei Harlow. You can see an updated picture at http://www.myredthread.net/. We will be traveling to bring Tia home on October 21.

We do still have a considerable amount outstanding. Our goal is to raise the funds necessary for my flight to China. So, we are hosting an online auction. Instead of going through all the formal steps to publish this on ebay, we are just going to do the auction through this blog. The items posted were either donated to our original fundraiser and from our friends and family or are from our children's clothing company - My Red Thread.

Here are the details -The auction will start on Sunday, October 11 and end at 11:59 pm on Friday, October 16. Bids can be placed by commenting to the individual item. All monogrammed items will be completed before I leave for China. Your final bid price will include shipping via First Class mail.

If you would prefer to just contribute to our adoption efforts instead of bidding, you can donate via the Chip In site on the right of this site.

Raffle Update

We wanted to share an update on the raffle. We have just 9 days remaining before the close of the raffle. Also, the total on the ChipIn site does not reflect all of our donations. As we mentioned in the initial posting, we are also selling raffle tickets at our work and church - for those who do not have access to PayPal. So the grand total as of today is $1,040.00. This includes the entries from Chipin. PRAISE GOD!!!!

RAFFLE DETAILS
We have decided to break our fundraiser into two parts, a raffle and an on-line auction. The raffle is currently underway, and we have some wonderful items to share with you. Our family has been so blessed by the donations we have received from friends and supporters of our adoption efforts. We would like to give credit to each of them: The Kurt Warner Foundation, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Maritz, Inc, Matco Tools, Suzanne Meyers, American Express Incentives Services, Jim Schilkoski - State Farm Insurance, Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapman, Lauretta Harmon, and Joy FM.

Here is how it works. If you want to donate, each $10 donation will receive a chance, you can click on the 'Chipin' button to the right and donate through Paypal, it's safe and easy. I will email you a confirmation that we have received your entry. We will also be selling raffle tickets at church, work and to anyone who is willing to donate. All of the proceeds from this event will benefit the adoption of our daughter Tia from China. Tickets sales will take place now through 11:59 pm April 23.
